They will not be forgotten
They were students, passers-by, children. They died because the state chose to open fire on its own youth. One candle for each of them.
At least 22 lives lost, according to the count of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (29 September 2025).

The Anosy monument
For the first anniversary, a monument was unveiled at the Anosy roundabout, towards the Ambohidahy tunnel, by the lake where young people gathered. It shows an armed soldier surrounded by young people breaking their chains. Part of Gen Z rejected it: "The monument is not what we wanted." Because the real memorial is justice.
Their names
We will not publish any name without the families' consent and careful verification. The victims' names belong first to those who mourn them. If you are close to a victim and want them honoured here, contact the civil-society organisations documenting these events.
